Mahalo to Allison Wong and Waileia Roster and Staff of The Contemporary Museum for a wonderful art experience!  August Moon was a well received event held at The Edge at Sheraton Waikiki, that raised monies for the TCM Children’s Programs.  Kahi, along with 24 other talented artists participated in the night’s featured “Drawn Out”, event, where artists simultaneously and spontaneously created sketches, drawings and paintings to sell at a pin-up wall market.  Event patrons were wined and dined by top wineries and restaurants.  Read the full Star Advertiser article here:   August Moon-TGIF

Like Father, Like Daughter

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

Here’s a cute photo of our daughter, India next to her pastel art piece entitled, “Ants View of Flowers”.  She, along with other students on Oahu were selected to exhibit works for the Mokichi Okada Association’s (MOA), Beauty through the Eyes of Our Children, 22nd Annual Children’s Painting Contest, at the Academy Art Center at Linekona.  India had also been selected the previous year to display a watercolor of her Daddy carving with his chain saw at the Board of Education offices.  Art must be in the blood!
